Took a drive this morning up toward Mount Rainier to the Crystal River Ranch out of Greenwater and surprised an elk herd (or they surprised us) with their numbers, boldness and simple nonchalance as we walked and snapped their pictures. Maybe they know they are safe from hunters and are like the neighborhood pets without leash. Only one with antlers so maybe it was the Bull Elk? Correct me if I'm wrong. All I know it was a real nice drive and time away from home, I felt like I was on mini vacation.
We don't really appreciate people posting things like this. They lead to more so called 'hunters' coming to kill our elk in our neighborhood. We have already had bullets shot through our windows and had a jerk shoot a calf with a bow and then try to claim it by walking up to our front door and saying he shot it. We have seen dozens of elk killed over the past years by these poachers as a result we do NOT like when people post our location. Everyone around the ranch is protective of our unique elk.

Hunters are not allowed in your neighborhood and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I hope you called the authorities. Poachers know where elk are as well as lawful hunters. The difference is no hunter would enter a residential neighborhood and put elk and humans in danger. Poachers on the other hand ..............
